Common questions

Quick answers, without the jargon

A few things families ask early in the process.

Do you only work with families on Long Island?

Most of Adam’s work is across Long Island and the surrounding areas, because local familiarity is a major advantage. If you are supporting someone from a distance, Adam can still help you build a plan and understand options.

Can you help if my parent refuses to talk about it?

Yes. Many families start by preparing quietly. We can map out options, timelines, and what to watch for, so you are ready when “someday” becomes “today.”

Do you offer medical advice or make medical decisions?

No. Advisors do not diagnose, treat, prescribe medication, or provide medical advice. What we can do is help you prepare for appointments, ask better questions, and communicate clearly with care teams.

What if we need help beyond placement?

Adam can connect you with vetted local resources and help you work through complex decisions around caregiving, home changes, transportation, and professional services.
